I'm Dr. FaisalÂ
I’m an AI researcher and passionate educator dedicated to helping the next generation grow up with ethical, safe, and creative tech skills.
As an Assistant Professor and top 2% Research Scientist at the University of the Fraser Valley, Canada, I specialize in Artificial Intelligence, AI Safety, and Ethical Chatbot Development. My research focuses on secure large language models (LLMs), Generative AI, Reinforcement Learning, and AI for wireless systems.
Through my initiative, The Ethical AI Lab for Kids, I design fun, age-appropriate learning experiences that include:
- Cybersecurity training through interactive games
- Online AI courses focused on ethics
- Building creative projects like an AI Safety Bot
- Developing ethical chatbots for kids
- Teaching logic and coding in a playful, hands-on way
My goal is to combine strong academic knowledge with engaging, child-centered learning — so young learners don’t just become great coders, but thoughtful, responsible digital citizens.
